BECOMING A PATIENT
What to Expect
On the first visit, you will receive a comprehensive, functional exam evaluating joint, muscle and tissue biomechanics. For comfort and modesty, please wear or bring loose fitting shorts and a short-sleeved shirt.
The doctor will spend approximately one hour with you for the initial exam and treatment. Subsequent visits could include soft tissue treatment, joint mobilizations or adjustments, functional rehabilitation exercise, low level laser therapy and nutritional recommendations. Patient-specific home exercise will also be prescribed to speed up recovery time.
Completion of Treatment
Conclusion of treatment is based on the achievement of mutual goals established by you and the doctor. Pain relief aside, patients are encouraged to focus on reaching individualized activity and performance goals as a measurement of care completion.
Patients are also advised that pain may come and go throughout a treatment plan. While some may enjoy immediate relief, additional visits in ALMOST ALL CASES are required to thoroughly address the problem, prevent recurring injury, long-term problems and future health care expenses.
Performance Spine and Sports Center is fully committed to providing patients with the highest quality of care possible, but success hinges on the compliance of the patient. Therefore, motivated, goal-oriented individuals find the best results at our clinic!
While our treatment plans are significantly shorter in length than most chiropractic or physical therapy protocols, we expect patients to be as committed to their plan as we are. Most individuals see results within four to six visits, and other patients necessitate a bit longer treatment plan to meet their goals.
New Patient Registration
New patients should fill out paperwork in advance or arrive at least 20 minutes before the scheduled appointment time. Performance Spine and Sports Center accepts most health insurance.
