Symptoms of rotator cuff pain include shoulder pain when moving the shoulder or sleeping on that shoulder, tenderness, weakness, lack of mobility, constant pain during overhead activities, catching, and grating or cracking sounds when the arm is moved.
How is rotator cuff pain treated?
Most tears of the rotator cuff do not need surgical attention. A rotator cuff can be easily treated with a combination of Active Release Techniques (ART) and exercises.
